Remember, the key to the perfect mix is making sure that you’re mixing the cleanest possible vocal from the beginning. This specific vocal was recorded in an awesome recording environment so there wasn’t too much ground noise but it’s still vital to remove any of this as it may conflict with some of the other frequencies within the mix. This can be as simple as your headphones being too close to the mic as you recorded or your phone getting a text with the sound on causing a bit of background noise. This is going to help us remove background noise that may have been present in the vocal recording.
